  13. ~Chapter 9~
An appropriate title for this title could be; A Holiday at Finch's Landing.
I chose this for my title because throughout most of this chapter Scout spends most of her time explaining Finch's Landin and the events that occur while she is there for the Christmas holiday. A few main events that happen during this chapter are; When Scout uses innappropriate language in front of Uncle Jack and when Francis calls Atticus a Negro- Lover (in a worse context). Uncle Jack shows his distaste for a young lady speaking with such disrespectful words and tells scout that she will not be a very propper lady if she continues to say such words. When Francis calls Atticus a Negro-Lover (still in worse context)more than once in fact, Scout proceeds to lose control of her anger and she punches Francis in the face. She then gets blamed for starting the whole fight. This is why i believe that " The Holiday at Finch's Landing" is a sufficient title for chapter 9.

  14. Chapter 9:
    Title: Anger

Scout was getting real mad when Francis was calling Atticus a negro-lover. She didn't know what it meant exactly but by the way he said it, she knew that it wasnt good. She was also angry that her Aunt Alexandria thought that Francis was innocent and put all the blame on her.

I chose this title because throught the whole chapter, Scout was mad that she was being blamed and she was angry that Francis was found innocent.

  15. Chapter 10:
    Title: Old

Scout was fussing about how Atticus being 50, he couldn't do anything active that the kids wanted to do and all he would do was read. The kids saw the old town dog named Tim Johnson. The dog looked madd so after the kids told Calpurina, she told everyone and Atticus came with a sheriff and shot the dog. Scout was going to tell everyone about her father's accuracy but Jem was moved back by this whole thing and told her not to say anything because they were both gentelmen.

I chose this title because everything in this chapter is refered to as being old.

  16. Chapter 11,
    Title: The New Enemy

Jem had hated Mrs.Dubose. One day after having enough of her name calling towards his father, he trashed her flowers. As a punishment he had to read to her everyday. She would have these fits because she was old and sick. Later, she called Jem's father to create her will and minutes after finishing, she died.

I chose this title because before the ids would not leave boo Radley alone but now Jem and Scout are going after Mrs.Dubose.

  17. Chapter 12:
    Title: Changes

Jem is getting older and according to Scout he is moody and he doesn't want to be with her and she doesn't understand why. Calpurnia tells Scout that anytime she is bored, she can go into the kitchen and they will find stuff to do. Calpurnia takes Jem and Scout to her church. Scout can't help but question why they don't have books and why the reverend reads and they follow. She is also confused with the changed scenery and environment she is now in.

I chose this title because there are many changes that the kids are going through with age and scenery.

  18. Chapter 13:
    Title: Aunt Alexandria

Jem and Scout came home to find their Aunt Alexandria on their front porch. She demanded that Calpurnia take her bags. For the life of them, they couldn't figure out what she was doing here. Later, she had talked to Atticus and told him that the kids needed to realize the importance of the Finch family name and they had to start acting like the lady and gentleman that they were.

I chose this chapter title because they came home to their Aunt on their porch and the whole chapter was mainly about her being at their house.
    K.T

  19. Chapter 14:
    Title: Surprises

Aunt Alexandria was fighting back with Atticus about Scout's behavior and nobody fought back with him. Jem had also gotten into a fight with Scout over him telling her what to do. Dill also had later showed up hiding under Scout's bed. He had run away from home and ended up at their house.

I chose this chapter title because this chapter is just filled with new things from the fights to Dill showing up.

  20. Chapter 15:
    Title: Escaping

Jem, Scout, and Dill all snuck out of the house to go see where Atticus was at. once they found the location, they didn't know anyone. They were told to leave but they didn't. They just stood there frozen.

I chose this title because basically, all the kids did was sneak past Aunt Alexandria to g to Atticus.

  21. Chapter 16,
    Title: Court Case

Jem and Scout sneak into the court room to find the judge half asleep, Atticus with no papers or folders while the opposing side has a stack of information.

I chose this chapter title because throught the whole chapter, Jem and Scout were talking about Tom's case.

  22. For chapter 12, I would name it "Unknown Age." I choose this title because it talks about Calpurnias life and how she doesn;t know her birthday, so she celebrates it on Christmas. She says she ages fast since she can't read. Also she said that colored folks don't show thier age as much, so not many people would know her age. That is why my title for chapter 12 is "Unknown Age." Z.R

  23. Chapter 17:
    Title: Case Day

It's the day of the case and they are explainging how things happened to the judge. It seems that Atticus is really pushing the witnesses for answers. He will repeat the same question to see if it is their final answer or if they are lying. The witnesses seem very nervous and Tom Robbinson and Atticus both seem very cool and collected. About half way through the chapter, the Reverand advises Jem to send Scout and Dill home but he objects saying that it doesn't matter because they dont understand anything that is going on anyway. Then, later on, the judge makes an announcment that all children and women should leave the court room.

I chose this chapter title because throught the whole chapter, they were syaing what was taking place in the court room.

  24. Chapter 18:
    Title: Victim

Atticus was interrogating Mayella Ewell. He was trying to get everything he could out of her. She was crying for real and she was shedding fake tears. Sometimes she would mess her whole story line up. Jem pointed out to the Reverend that Tom was crippled. His left arm was a few inches shorter than the right. What Atticus was getting to was was how could the other Ewell children not hear her screams and how could Tom do the thing he is accused of doing when he has no use of his left arm.

I chose this chapter title because throughout this chapter, the "victim" was being questioned and this whole chapter was about her.

  25. Chapter 19:
    Title: The Guilty

Tom Robinson is asked many questions about why he was in the fenced area. He said he didn't do anything to Maybell, he said that she had hugged him and kissed him and he tried to move away. He claimed that he didn't want to push her and hurt her so he just tried to walk away but she held onto him. Tom said that Maybel's Dad had saw her through the window and he called her a bad name and said he would kill her. Tom had said that he did no harm to her. He said he ran because he was scared to go to court for something he didn't do. The way the jury was talking to Tom had played an effect on Dill and he didn't like it at all.

I chose this chapter title because this chapter was about Tom's view of the case.
    K.T

  26. Chapter 20:
    Title: End of Jury

This is the end of the Tom Robinson case. Aticus had stated that Maybell was beaten by her father because Tom was crippled with the arm she was beaten with. He had also said that Maybell's false accusations were to mask up her own guilt for hugging and kissing a black man. Atticus had plead Tom innocent and MAybell guilty for her own actions.

I chose this chapter title because it was the end of the case and according to Attius, Tom was plead innocent.

I chose this title because it was the end of the case and Atticus was leaving so it was all over.

  28. Chapter 22:
    Title: Review

The next morning, Atticus found out by Calpurnia hat there were all gifts left on the back porch from his hard work. Miss Maudie, Miss Stephanie, Miss. Rachel, and Mr. Avery were all talking about the case from yesterday and a new event. They were talking about how when Atticus was in his way to town, Mr. Ewell had spit in his face and told him that he would get him if it took the rest of his life.

chose this chapter title because they were pretty much reviewing everything that was happening.

  29. For chapter 10, I would title it, "Old But Skilled." I would call it this because it tells about how Atticus is getting old and how he isn't very active anymore. For example, when him and Jem are playing football, he can't tackle Atticus because he says he's too old. Atticus does have a unique talent, and that is making a sharp shot. He showed his skills when Tim Johnson was heading torwards everyone. He was given a rifle and in one shot, the mad dog was gone. That is how Atticus, may be old, to Scout and Jem, but he still has some skill. Z.R.

  31. For chapter 11, I would call it "Mean Old Dubose," because this chapter tells how Jem had to watch over Mrs. Dubose and she was not polite to Jem or anyone else. Proof is that, Mrs. Dubose is disrespectful. She is disrespectful to Atticus. She starts off by telling Jem, that Atticus is no better than the trash he works for, and she takes Scout and Jem as bad people, because they were walking by her house during school time. She accused them of playing hookie even though they weren't. Mrs. Dubose also had more problems, she was addicted to morphine and she used it too help her sleep. Mrs. Dubose does pass away, soon later after Jem had to watch her, but while she lived, she was a mean person and didn't like to see anyone. Z.R

  33. Chapter 23:
    Title: Growing Old

Everyone is obviously growing old of Mr.Cunningham's obnoxious ways. He had spit in Atticus's face and he just walked away. Jem is getting older too. He now takes the responsibility of comforting Scout whenever she needs comfort. Scout is also getting tired of her Aunt Alexandria trying to teach her to be a lady.

I chose this title becasue everyone is growing old in one way or another whether it's with the people they are around or if it is their age.

Later during this small gathering, Atticus came home earlier than he was supposed to. He had broke the news to Alexandria, Calpurnia, and Scout that Tom Robinson had been shot. He was exercising and he jumped over the fence and the guards shot him 17 times.

I chose this chapter because the whole time, Alexandria's friends were over for coffee.

Scout was thinking back to the day Dill left them again. She thought of what he said when you walk to the creek, you can get a cheap ride and go anywhere. She was thinking of the time when Atticus saw Dill and Jem walking and they wanted to go for a ride with him and Calpurnia to Tom's house so Atticus said that was fine only if they stayed in the car.

I chose this title because all through the night, Scout was thinking back to the memory of Dill.

    Title: Current Events

In school, Scout was learning about current events and Adolf Hitler came up as one. Scout had many questions about him and how he had the right to persicute people like them. She didn't understand what a dictator was and how much power they have. Scout had asaked Atticus to answer her question and he didn't have an answer so she asked Jem. When she asked him, she had brought up Tom's case and how one person could have so much power. This was a sensitive subject so Scout just let it be.

I chose this title because they were learning about current events and Hitler was in charge and Tom's case was very recent also.

  42. Chapters 9, 10, 11:
    9 title: Francis, Francis, Francis
    10 title: One good Shot!
    11 title: Ms. Dubose

Chapter 9: At school, Scout almost starts a fight with her friend Cecil Jacobs after he says that Scout’s dad defends niggers. He was asked to defend a guy named Tom Robinson, the man accused of raping a white woman. It is something that he doesn't want to win, but he told Scout that he must go to it to show justice and self-respect. At Christmas time, Atticus’s brother Jack came to stay with Atticus for a week. Scout usually gets along with Uncle Jack but when he arrives, she begins swearing in front of him. After supper Jack has Scout sit on his lap and he tells her not to swear. On Christmas Day, Atticus takes Jem scout and Jack to Finch’s Landing, an old house where Atticus’s sister Alexandra and her husband live. There, Scout meets Francis, Alexandra’s grandson, who was dropped off at her house for the holiday. Scout thinks Francis is the most boring kid she has ever met. Francis also calls Atticus a “Nigger Lover” and his dad spanked Scout.

Chapter 10: Knowing how old Atticus is said to be from scout and Jem, he sure has quite an aim. When a dog was wandering on the street, Calpurnia called Atticus who came home from work with Heck Tate, the towns Sherriff who asks atticus to shoot the dog. In one shot atticus got the dog. After that miss Maudie told the kids that atticus was the best shooter in the county and she calls him One shot finch.

  43. Chapter 31:
    Title: Guilty

Scout was feeling bad for making fun of Boo and she wasn't scared to be in the same room as him. When she was walking him home, she saw her street from a differant perspective. It was from Boo's. When she went inside, Atticus was reading to Jem who was asleep. It was called Gray Ghost and Scout was telling Atticus that the only scary things are in books.

I chose this title because she realized at the end of the day that there was nothing wrong with Boo and he really wasn't scary. The kids had just let their imaginations run too wild.

  44. Chapter 10- A good chapter title for this chapter would be "50." Scout was talking about how Atticus would be turning 50 and making a big deal out of it. Scout was complaining that Atticus would no longer be able to play with them and all he wanted to do was read. One day the kids met the old dog in the neighborhood named Tim Johnson. The kids said the dog was mad so they told Atticus, Atticus told the sheriff, so the sheriff shot the dog.

  47. Chapters 12, 13, +14:

    Chapter 12 title: Trouble
    Chapter 13 title: Aunt Alexandria
    Chapter 14 title: Dill?

Chapter 12: Jem is now twelve and tells Scout to stop bothering him. Dill is not coming south this year because his mom remarried and him mean new father is not letting him go. The state legislatures making Atticus have to go to the state capital every day for two weeks. Calpurnia also decides to bring the kids to her colored church. It was named the first purchase because it was bought with the first earnings of free slaves. The church does greatly accept the white children to pray with them. The church also helps raise money for Helen Robinson, who lost her job when her husband was accused of rape. This is important because scout finds out that Bob Ewell accused Tom… No one can believe the Ewell’s!

Chapter 13: Aunt Alexandria comes over to teach the children proper manners. The townspeople greet her with cakes and coffee, etc. There’s not much that goes on in this chapter other than aunt Alexandria telling them they need to follow their ancestry. After she forces Atticus to talk to them he does nothing but make scout cry.

Chapter 14: In this chapter a lot of things happen. Scout tried to ask Atticus what rape is, and she also brings up the topic of Calpurnias church. Aunt Alexandria tells atticus to get rid of Calpurnia but he says no. Then, comes a fun part of the story: Scout and Jem get into a fight and get sent to their rooms. Scout looks under her bed and finds Dill! He ran away from home because his parents weren’t paying enough attention to him. When Jem tells Atticus, he feeds Dill and allows him to rest.

  49. Chapter 13- A good chapter title for this chapter would be "Aunt Alexandria." Aunt Alexandria says the the kids should follw their ancestory.

Chapter 14- A good chapter title for this chapter would be "Runaway Dill." This is a good chapter title because when Scout and Jem fought they got sent to their rooms and suprisingly Scout found Dill under her bed. Dill got mad at his parents because he says that his parents weren't paying enough attention to him. Atticus took the situation okay and allowed Dill to eat and sleep at their house.

Chapter 15- A good chapter title for this chapter would be, "Sneaking Out." This would be a good chapter title becasue Scout, Jem, and Dill snuk out of the house to go follow Atticus. When they find him, they dont know anyone there. They were told to leave and didnt listen.

Chapter 16- A good chapter title for this chapter would be, "The Courtroom." This is a good chapter title because it explains how Scout, Jem and Dill got into the courtroom with the judge alomst sleeping.

Chapter 17- A good chapter title for this chapter would be, "Courtroom Debates." This is a good chapter title because it explains how the case between Tom Robinson and Mayella, Bob Ewell's eldest daughter. At a point during the case, the judge asked all children and women to leave the courtroom.

Chapter 18- A good chapter title for this chapter would be, "Mayella." This is a good chapter title because the whole chapter is about her and her story of what happened on the day of the raping. Mayella slipped a few times in telling the story and was being interrogated by Atticus for real answers.

    Chapter 19- A good chapter title for this chapter would be,"Blaming." 50. Chapters 15, 16, & 17:

Chapter 15 title: The Maycomb Jail
Chapter 16 title: The trial begins
    Chapter 17 title: The Clue

Chapter 15: Atticus’s trial is nearing and he goes to the Jail in his home town, reading the news as Jem, Dill, and Scout sneak up to spy on him. As they do so, cars surround the jail and a group of men step out of the car. When scout panics and runs out to help with jem and Dill following, one of the men said Atticus had only so long to get the children to leave. Scout found Mr. Cunningham in the group who embarrassed himself by talking to her. As the men cleared out, Mr. Underwood checked with Atticus to make sure everything was alright and the family plus Dill went home.

Chapter 16: when everyone crowds in the courtroom to begin the trial, the only person who doesn’t show up is Mrs. Maudie. She didn’t show up because she thought death sentence trials were cruel. When the kids went to the trial (which they weren’t supposed to be at), they hid towards the back but then were moved up to the balcony.

Chapter 17: The trial begins with Mr. Ewell who begins to describe what happened in the story. When he goes on the say the girl’s body was beaten, he notices bob is a lefty, so, the bruises would be on the right side of Mayella. This clue leads into evidence against Mr. Ewells side of the story. This is just about it for this chapter.

Scout is told she needs to deass more like a lady by Aunt Alexandra. Scout later gets in a fight with Francis (Alexandra's grandson) because he called Atticus a nigger-lover. Later on, Uncle Jack learns a valuable lesson about always telling children the truth.

Chapter 10- "Lessons learned from the past"
Jem and Scout got guns for Christmas. They could shoot any bird they wanted too, except a mockingbird. The kids learned that killing a mockingbird was a sin. The mockingbird never did anything to hurt us, it ony makes beautiful music for people to listen to. Atticus was getting old now but he still had incredible aim with a gun. He had to shoot Tom Jonson, the "mad dog" in a difficult position. Back in his day Atticus was called "One-Shot-Finch".

  53. Chapter 13,"Family Visitor."
I called the chapter this, because this is when Aunt Alexzandra visits Attiucs, Jem, and Scout. She enters the home with demanding comments like, "put my bag in the front bedroom," to Calipurnia and "Jean Louise, stop scratching your head." She talks to the kids about her history and Maycomb as an ancient town. That is what happens in chapter 13.

Chapter 15- A good chapter title for this chapter would be, "Sneaking Out." This would be a good chapter title becasue Scout, Jem, and Dill snuk out of the house to go follow Atticus. When they find him, they dont know anyone there. They were told to leave and didnt listen.

Chapter 19- A good chapter title for this chapter would be,"Blaming." This is a good chapter title because Tom Robinson tries to turn the case back on Mayella and say that she was the one all over him and she had hugged and kissed him. Robinson said that the whole time he was just trying to get away from her.

  55. Chapter 20- A good chapter title for htis chapter would be,"Case Closed." This is a good chapter title because it shows how the case between Tom Robinson and Mayella had ended. It ended that Mayella's father had beaten her and that Robinson wasn't able to because his arm was crippled. Atticus pleaded Tom Robinson not guilty and to have Mayella be responsible for her actions.

Chapter 21- A good chapter title for this chapter would be,"The Letter." This would be a good chapter title because it explains how Atticus was given a letter by Calpurnia saying that the kids weren't home all day. She also thought of what he said when you walk to the creek, you can get a cheap ride and go anywhere.

Chapter 26- A good chapter title for this chapter would be,"Social Studies Class." This would be a good chapter title because it talks about how in school the kids were learning about current events. Aldoph Hitler was one of the people they discussed and Scout didn't quite understand what a dictator was and how much power they have.

Chapter 27- A good chapter title for this chapter would be,"Troubled Times." This is a good chapter title because Atticus, Jem, Scout and Calpurnis had problems of their own to deal with in this chapter.

Chapter 29- A good chapter title for this chapter would be,"Reliving the Accident." This is a good chapter title because it explains when Scout was telling Mr. Tate about that horrible day when Scout and Jem were attacked by someone who remains a mystery.

Chapter 30- A good chapter title for htis chapter would be,"Discussing." This is a good chapter title because it talks about how Atticus and Mr. Tate were talking about possible explanations on how Bob Ewell had died. There wans't any real, solid evidence to come to a positive conclusion on the subject.

Chapter 31- A good chapter title for this chapter would be,"Rethinking." This is a good chapter title because it talks about how Scout was feeling bad about judging Boo Radely. As it turns out, Boo isn't a bad person, he just is misconseeved by people on how they think of Boo. He actually isn't a vicious person how many people in Maycomb view him as.

Chapter 28: Scout was supposed to go out on stage for the play her school is doing, yet she fell asleep and missed her part. She came out running at the end and the teacher was mad at her. The kids were embarrassed so they went home after everyone else left. On their way home, Jem heard noises behind him and scout. They thought it was Cecil trying to scare them but when they called his name he didn’t answer. The person following them then began to run after them. When Jem screamed for scout to run she fell due to her costume. Scouts mesh costume ripped and she heard Jem dragging her to the road nearby. She heard a crunch sound and Jem screamed. She ran toward him and she was squeezed. The thing or person that attacked her was pulled away by something or someone once again; scout felt for Jem but only finds an unshaved whisky scented man. Heck Tate and some other men come to the Finch house to talk to Atticus. They came to talk about Tom Robinson and how he has to be moved to the Maycomb Jail. Atticus and Aunt Alexandra have been fighting all the time about the trial. That night, Atticus takes the car downtown and sits in front of the Maycomb Jail. Dill, Jem and Scout follow Atticus down there, even though he told them not to come. When Atticus was sitting outside of the jail, a different set of men come in cars and surround Atticus. Scout gets scared and runs out of her hiding spot and tries to protect Atticus. Scout recognizes Mr. Cunningham. Later on they all go back home.

    Chapter 16- The Trial
The trial begins. Everyone from all over the county comes to the court room. Jem, Dill and Scout try to sneak into the courtroom so Atticus wouldn’t se them. They went too late and there were no more seats left so they sat up on the balcony where the black people were required to sit. They could see the whole courtroom, the trial began.

    Chapter 17- Innocent or Guilty?
Mr. Gilmer, the prosecutor, questions Heck Tate about the night that Mayella, Bob Ewells’s daughter, got “raped” by Tom Robinson. Heck finds Mayella bruised and beaten to the right side of her face. Bob Ewell is called to the stand. Bob says that he was outside when he heard his daughter being raped. He sees that his daughter is alright and runs for the sheriff. Atticus asks why he didn’t call a doctor and discovered that Bob is left handed.

    Chapter 18- Mayella's Story
Mayella is called to the stand and is questioned by Atticus. Mayella thinks that Atticus is mocking her but he is really just being polite. She said that Tom Robinson took advantage of her and choked her and hit her. Atticus tried to get Mayella to admit that there was no rape and it was her father that hit her. After an overwhelming amount of questions, Mayella burst into tears and refused to answer and more questions. Mr. Underwood sees Scout and Jem up in the balcony but Jem reassures Scout that he wouldn’t tell Atticus. Atticus calls Tom to the stand, his only witness.

    Chapter 19- Tom Robinson
Tom passes the Ewell house every day on his way home from doing farming and yard work. Mayella always asks Tom to do little chores for her around the house because he said he feels bad for her. No one was home and Mayella asked Tom to fix the door inside. He said nothing was wrong with the door. She asked him to do another chore and before he knew it she was hugging him and trying to kiss Tom. This is when Mr. Ewell came to the window, and Tom fled. Tom also works for Mr. Link Deas and he said that Tom has not caused one bit of trouble in the 8 years he worked for Deas. Tom continued to be questioned by Mr. Gilmer and Dill literally got sick from all the nonsense of Negros being treated unfairly. Dill and Scout leave the courtroom and encounter Mr. Dolphus Raymond.

Chapter 20- What Way to Go
Mr. Dolphus tells Dill and Scout why he pretends to be drunk all the time. He says its so that other white people have a reason to see why he prefers black people over white. When the kids return, Atticus is making his final remarks and telling the jury that there isn’t even any medical evidence to prove that Tom raped Mayella. Atticus thinks that Mayella is a lonely girl and that Bob raped her, not Tom. Atticus makes a speech that all men are equal, black or white, and pleads with the jury to let Tom go. When Atticus finishes, Calpurnia walks into the courtroom.

Atticus leaves the courtroom and Jem is absolutely outraged at how unfair that is. When Atticus leaves the courtroom the upper balcony stands as a sign or respect.

Chapter 22- Recompense for Attempting Justice
The next morning Cal discovers so much food from the black population thanking Atticus, he was overwhelmed with joy. When the three were outside Miss Maudie tried to ask the kids questions all about the trial and how it went. Miss Maudie says that there were so many people trying to help Tom and that Atticus was given that case for a reason. Later on, Miss Stephanie tells Miss Maudie and the kids that Atticus had been accused by Bob Ewell.

    Chapter 23- Idle Threats?
Bob Ewell makes what Atticus seems to be an idle threat of revenge. Meanwhile, Tom Robinson gets moved to another prison where he has to stay until his appeal passes. Atticus was discussing with Jem what happens if he loses and all about the Jury. Jem thinks that this is totally unfair for them to do this to Tom. On of the jurors that wanted to let Tom go was one of the Cunninghams. Scout wanted to invite Walter to dinner but Aunt Alexandra refused. Scout infuriated, Jem takes her up to his room and they talk for a long time, about everything. Jem says that after all this he sees why Boo Radley stays in his house.

    Chapter 24- An Unfair Fight

Jem s showing signs of being a girl according to Scout but I personally think that he is showing signs of maturity. Tom’s death is only a big deal for about two days then it’s old news. 65. Chapters 14 + 15

In chapter 14, I would call it, "Unexpected Visitor." I'd name it this because Jem and Scout got in a fight and they were sent to their room, for doing do. When Scout was in her room, she heard a noisw, and then saw Dill under her bed. He was there because he didn't like how he was being treated at home. Scout was proud and suprised at the same time to see Dill.

In chapter 15, a good title would be, "Warning to Atticus." I named it this because in this chpater, Mr. Heck Tate and some of his friends showed up at Atticus's house, to talk. They told him that Tom Robinson was in jail. Mr. Heck Tate also warned Atticus that there might be trouble in the future, which is what Atticus did not want. That is why I called the chapter "Warning to Atticus."

To save the neighborhood, Atticus is given a riffle by the sheriff and asked to shoot. Claiming Atticus to be the best shot in Maycomb.

I think a good title for chapter 20 is,"Finishing Up." I am calling it this, because Atticus was saying his final remarks, defending Tom Robinson. He was saying that there was no proof that he raped the girl and that a balck man wouldn't do anymore than a white man.

For chapter 21, a good title would be "Go Home." I would call it this because Aunt Alexzandria realizes that the children are gone, and Atticus finds out that they were on the balcony. Atticus tells them to go home with Calipurnia and to eat. The children were also mad because they couldn't stay to watch the ending of the trail.

  73. Chapters 22 + 23

For chapter 23, I would call it "Not Fair." I'
d call it this because Tom Robinson was guilty, but the majority of the reason he was guilty is that he was African American. Jem was very upset because Tom was guilty and because he couldn't stay for the ending of the trail.

In chapter 23, a good title would be,"Off to Prison," because Tom Robinson is sent off to a different prison.
